This handy USB port can be used for a number of things. For example, if you have a more modern radio and want a clean way to connect for wired CarPlay or Android Auto, this is the perfect solution. It gives you a tidy, easy-to-use USB port right on your dash.
Another great use is as an extra charging point. Paired with our hidden charging module, it’s a much cleaner option than having a bunch of messy wires running from your cigarette lighter socket.
The plate is 3D printed from high-temp, UV-resistant material—built to last in your car’s interior. The included USB cable is USB 3.0 and supports fast charging. If you go for the version with the hidden charging module, it supports modern fast-charging protocols and has the following specs:
Input Voltage: DC 6–30V
Output Voltage: Default 5V, adjustable 3–12V based on connected device
Output Capacity: Single-port rated current 2.4A, rated power 18W
Note: The hidden charger has been tested in an NB MX-5/Miata, and the wires are long enough to reach the cigarette lighter. It has not been tested in an NA, so you may need longer wires for proper installation.
