How to install UpdateCreate RGB Sun Visor Delete Lights

Step 1 – Remove Sun Visors and the trim
If still fitted, remove the OEM sun visors. Next, remove the roof catches. The centre courtesy light also needs to be removed if present.
Then, remove the trim panel. It is clipped into place—some gentle pressure is all that’s required to pop it off.
Step 2 – Install the control box and wires
The control box and wires for the lights should be routed inside the windscreen support. This ensures the trim can be reinstalled like factory.
Start by feeding all wires in through the courtesy light hole. One connector will need to run to the left sun visor opening, and one to the right.
Step 3 – Connect Everything
With a connector now accessible at each sun visor hole, connect the lights. Tuck any excess wire back into the vehicle.
The controller now needs to be wired into the courtesy light.
Grounding Option:
There is a second option for connecting the ground wire: You can solder it directly to the negative pin on the courtesy light, as shown in the picture:

If you are installing this in an NA MX-5 with the courtesy light on the dashboard, your connections should look like the picture above.
Step 4: Test and re-assemble
Once everything is connected, test that the lights function is as expected.
On Mk2 MX-5s with the upper courtesy light, note that one of its mounting screws also functions as a ground. Ensure this is reinstalled, or the lights will not work when the doors open.
Note: The yellow wire from the controller does not need to be connected.
Reassembly is the reverse of the removal steps. Make sure all wires are tucked into place and the new lights are properly popped through the trim. Take care not to pinch any wires when reinstalling the trim.
Final Step: Enjoy your new lights!!
